Renovated from a former floating logging camp into a very comfortable, remote lodge with all the amenities. This unique remote Alaska lodge has been fully operational since 2015 and is in “The Salmon Capital of the World”.

Located off Prince Of Wales Island, the Lodge is only a 90 minute flight from Seattle Washington to Ketchikan, the first city of Alaska, and then an additional 20 minute float plane flight from Ketchikan to the bay that the lodge sits in which is as close as one can legally get to the pristine wilderness area of the Tongass National Forest.

The facility renovated from a former floating logging camp consists of:

  • (4) large 60x80 floats

  • (7) buildings: (2) 5 bedroom/1 bath sleeping cabins, (1) 1 bedroom/1 bath sleeping cabin plus laundry area, (1) large Kitchen/Dinning cabin, (2) large Storage buildings, (1) Utility/Power shed.

  • Cabin Furnishings, linens, all household items and kitchen equipment

  • Utility and mechanical items:  solar system, generator, wastewater system,  clean water system

  • Skiffs and Kayaks: 17’ Catamaran, 20‘ Lund skiff, 16’ Aluminum skiff, (7) kayaks

  • Fishing gear, including over twenty salmon and halibut poles, reels, various tackle, shrimp pots, crab pots, and lines.

  • Safety equipment, rain gear and much more.

Being in a remote location the Lodge is 100% off grid and fully self-sustainable. Electricity is supplied by solar power with generator back, propane is used for cooking and for the on-demand hot water heaters. Our fresh water comes via a nearby stream piped to the lodge and from rain catchment waters that then go through an onsite purification process system. Our wastewater is taken care of by an engineered state approved onsite wastewater system.

All State of Alaska permits required are current and up to date under Alaska Island Adventures LLC.  New owners will need to re-permit the current facility site with the State of Alaska.  Since the facility is a “Float Lodge” it can also be moved and re-permitted for a new location as well.

Business Opportunities

Bring your business plan…. This a great opportunity to own a piece of recreational Southeast Alaska....A piece of Heaven & Tranquility.

Turn-key opportunity: Currently the lodge is set up to host the Alaska destination lodging guest. Our guests over the previous (5) years have included, the robust fishing angler and wilderness recreational seeker, family reunion groups, Alaska Native youth groups and artists groups.  Neighboring fishing lodges are currently charging $1,800.00 to $3,000.00 per person/5-6 night stay for their destination fishing and lodging guests.

Other opportunities: The Alaska cruise ship market could also offer a business opportunity for the lodge. With the cruise ship industry taking hold in Alaska and with Ketchikan being a port city and hosting over 1,000,000  Alaska cruise visitors yearly, there could be an opportunity to tap into this booming industry and market by offering a “venue” for Ketchikan flightseeing tours, as the lodge is only a 20 minute flight away from Ketchikan.
